Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This is a personal website. I'm not trying to collect your data, sell your information, or track you around the internet. You can find someone else to do that.

That said, here's what happens when you visit this site, so you know exactly what's going on.

Analytics

I use a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool to understand basic traffic patterns. This includes things like which pages are popular and where visitors come from. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track you across websites. All data is aggregated and anonymous. I can't identify individual visitors, and I wouldn't want to.

Newsletter Signup

If you subscribe to the newsletter, I collect your name and email address. These are stored in my newsletter system and used only to send you the newsletter and a one-time confirmation email — you'll need to confirm before you receive anything. I won't sell, trade, or rent your information to anyone, and you can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

Cookies

This site does not use tracking cookies. The only data stored in your browser is your light/dark theme preference via localStorage, which never leaves your device.

Third-Party Links

This site links to external websites (LinkedIn, Google Scholar, project sites, etc). I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Once you leave grantgenzman.com, their policies apply.

Affiliate Links

Some book links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you purchase through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This doesn't affect which books I recommend — I only share books that I believe you will find valuable.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

Data Sharing

I don't sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. The only exceptions are the email service that delivers the newsletter (which processes your email solely to send it) and if I'm legally required to share data, which seems unlikely for a personal blog.

Your Rights

You can request to see or delete any personal data I have. Realistically, this would just be your name and email if you subscribed to the newsletter. Reach out via LinkedIn and I'll take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update it here.
